Los Animales

Etlingera Farms is home to a great number of animals.  Living in the tropical Caribbean, you can well imagine there are a great deal of exotic animals.  Usually, we don't get a lot of opportunity to have a lot of interaction with them.  For the most part, the woodland creatures like to keep to themselves, and they would rather have nothing to do with us.  We did however, have a lot of opportunity to get up close and personal with a lot of our residents during our reforestation project.  It is unfortunate that nobody had the camera when a Danta walked between a couple of our caretakers as they were preparing a clearing for planting.

Although the population is significantly higher in parque brauiio Carrillo, our neighbor to the west, we do, from time to time get excited at our rare sightings of monkeys and sloths within our boarders.

In addition to the exotic, tropical animals that pass through Etlingera Farms, we have been home to a number of more domesticated cat dog type animals as well as livestock of the goat, pig, cow, chicken and horse variety.
