Google Earth describes our location as "Latitude of 10° 8'12.43"N and a Longitude of 83°48'38.41"W"

But, that isn’t how we do directions here in Costa Rica.  In "Tiquicia", directions are given by reference to landmarks.

Our proximity to route 32, a major Costa Rican transportation gateway, makes Etlingera Farms an easy and picturesque one hour drive from the capital city of San José.  We are located in Bella Vista, a small community less than six miles south of Guápiles.

To get here, take route 32 and head on to the famous Zurqui Tunnel. On the other side of this tunnel, a natural wonderland will astound you as you pass through the Braulio Carrillo National Park. Just one river past Rio Sucio, you will come across the fruteria at Rio Frio which happens to be one of Costa Ricas most delicious and welcoming landmarks.

A few minutes down the road, you will want to turn off the highway on to a street named Calle de Los Angeles. (Street of the Angels)  But, nobody knows it by this name.  The locals refer to this street as Buenos Aires Blvd. This road is appropriately named after La Soda Buenos Aires, a popular gaupliano landmark.  Turn right, continue down the street, over the bridge, and into Bella Vista.

Just past the bridge, you'll come to Pulperia El Cruce (The Cross)  Bella Vista is divided into two sections at the cross.  The section to the left, is us.  It is called Bella Vista de la Guaria.

Etlingera Farms is 800 meters past the little elementary school on your right.  This is, in fact, our address.

For an equally pleasant but, slightly longer journey, we can also be reached from Cartago through the cities of Turrialba and Siquirres.

We are bus accessible too.  The bus stops in front of our gate twice daily Monday through Saturday, and once on Sunday.
